The Author

Elisha is an author, an academic, an educator, a yogi, and a slave to her Master. She is quirky, silly, and can usually be found doing yoga, laughing, cuddling with stuffed unicorns, or eating.

Academically, as part of her second Master’s degree, she researched the intersection of the perceived benefits of yoga and BDSM participation, for example reduced anxiety and depression, connection to the self, and improved body image. She will begin working on her PhD in Communication in this year. She is 400hr Registered Yoga Teacher and teaches in the Tempe, Arizona area, at Arizona Power Exchange, and at conferences nationwide. She and Chris run the Arizona Chapter of Loving More, a national non-profit for polyamory support and education. Elisha and her Master, Chris, are the 2018 Arizona Master/slave titleholders and teach classes on such topics as Emotional Intelligence, trust, and jealousy for their local polyamory community, Arizona Power Exchange, and at conferences nationwide. Elisha also teaches Yoga for Kink at Arizona Power Exchange.

Elisha believes that the lessons learned in the BDSM/leather/kink and yoga communities can, and do, play a vital role in helping one to live a more conscious, authentic, and joyful life. She is currently working on a number of projects. Her memoir, Yoke: One girl’s journey to enlightenment through yoga and BDSM will be published soon. She is one of the first writers to be published on the booming YogiApproved.com and enjoys writing for them as often as possible. She is an academic advisor at her college and enjoys living with Chris near their campus, where she has created a hummingbird habitat on the patio. She has been married 19 years. Her husband, John spent the last few years in Florida by the beach but recently moved back to be closer. She will miss the easy vacation spot but is very happy to have him home.
